MANILA, Philippines -- The United Kingdom is considering signing within the year the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations that will enable the country to widen its ties with the ASEAN as a regional bloc, said a UK official who was in the Philippines during the Holy Week.
